Chunky Bobble Headband

This headband is made using 2 strands of DK weight yarn held doubled. You could get away with one strand of worsted weight too.

Main and contrasting colours
6mm hook

Bobble: yarn over, insert hook, pull through (3 strands on hook), yarn over, insert hook, pull through (5 strands on hook), yarn over, insert hook, pull through (7 strands on hook), yarn over and pull thought all 7 strands.

Starting with main colour
1. Chain your desired length. Mine was 49ch. Make sure to chain loosely.
2. dc in the 3rd chain from hook and in each chain across. End main colour.
3. Join contrasting colour with a sl st and ch2. hdc in the first 4 stitches *bobble in the next stitch, ch1, hdc in the next stitch* Repeat across till the last 4 (or 5 in the case of odd stitches) and hdc in them. End contrasting colour.
4. Join main colour back at the start (don’t turn the work, the bobbles need to be facing up) and ch3. dc in each hdc and top of bobble across (do not dc in the ch1’s) do not end off.

In the end of the headband (sides of the stitches) *do 2sc in the first dc side, sc into the hdc once, chain 40, sc back into the same hdc side (tie made), 2sc in the next dc side, then work sc’s evenly along the edge of the headband, repeat from * once more to complete the round end off colour. Weave in all ends.
